New teaser/trailer for “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker”, as showcased at Disney’s D23 Expo:
Looking forward to this one! 🙂
Trailer for The Mandalorian, a Star Wars live-action series, due November 12 on Disney+:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
Past Monday the fifth and final episode of HBO’s Chernobyl miniseries aired. I’ve enjoyed watching this show, which covers the events that lead up to and followed the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster in 1986.
Solid acting, good storytelling, brilliant atmosphere, … Highly recommended! Also: That font (not the one from the trailer but the one from the top banner)! Love it! 😍
Thanks for the tip, Lennart!
No One Is Ever Really Gone.
Also: Lando in the Falcon! 😎
Disney’s Aladdin (1992) is getting a live-action remake. Today the trailer got released:
I was 9 when the original Aladdin came out. I can sing along to all of its songs by heart. So yeah, I’m quite the sucker for this re-make. The trailer looks quite promising so I’m starting to think that they won’t have f*cked it up too much (unlike what they did with that Beauty and the Beast remake).
From filmmaker Steven Spielberg comes the science fiction action adventure “Ready Player One,” based on Ernest Cline’s bestseller of the same name, which has become a worldwide phenomenon.
The film is set in 2045, with the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. But the people have found salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his immense fortune to the first person to find a digital Easter egg he has hidden somewhere in the OASIS, sparking a contest that grips the entire world. When an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) decides to join the contest, he is hurled into a breakneck, reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of mystery, discovery and danger.
Release is due March 30, 2018.
Really looking forward to this one:
Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, Canada, and France are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II.
Back in December I was in Brussels to see an IMAX showing of Rogue One. One of the trailers preceding the main feature was a 7-minute trailer for Dunkirk. It left me deeply impressed, and ever since remains one of the things I always bring up when people ask me about Rogue One.
So yes, I’ll most definitely be seeing this one in an IMAX Theatre upon its theatrical release (21 July 2017) 🙂
After the teaser trailer, now comes the full trailer:
As a kid I was fascinated by the original movie. Great to see that this sequel will be in line with it: the atmosphere, cinematography, and soundtrack have a really nostalgic feeling to it 🙂
