Vlaamsche Communicerende Koterijen

There’s this phenomenon in Belgium which I like to call Vlaamsche Communicerende Koterijen (Quite literal: Flemish Communicating Shacks)>

It goes like this: You have a house. Then you build a shack against it. When that shack is too small, you build another one against that and then later on another one and another one … finally leaving you with 20m of shacks, all built next to each other and depending on each other.
