Tonight, when arriving home from work I noticed a small package waiting for me on my desk. The package was soft, not that big and the green Customs Declaration sticker clearly gave away that it came from The States … Quickly checked the sender and … ooh yes, my Hivelogic T-Shirt had arrived!
Neatly cut open the package and immediately got it out (took a pic of course) and … wow, now that’s a real nice shirt, exactly as I expected! Real nice work Ben! Above that the quality of the shirt itself is impeccable!
Hivelogic T-Shirt and Packaging
Now, it’s no secret I have a thing for shirts; My closet literally is stuffed with T-Shirts in all sorts of colors (most of them being yellow!). Ever since my buddy Manuel was kind enough to wire some money to my paypal account (don’t have a creditcard myself, that’s why) the addiction got even worse with all those online shops being available. Right now I’m still waiting for the New Daring Fireball Shirt to arrive and am about to order A List Apart’s -9999px; shirt whenever the Large sizes become available again.

When taking peek into my del.icio.us bookmarks for all sites tagged with shirt I must say I’ve got quite a few shirt stores tagged which I still have to check out. Not all shops listed are as big or as popular as the other though, but they’re the shops that got stuck in my head (and if anyone out there would be that crazy to “just” buy me one of them … (A)). Here’s a small list to get lost at:
Busted Tees
Busted Tees offers a nice selection of shirts of which I’ve picked a few below. The “You’re beautiful” one is just hilarious!
Busted Tees Selection
Threadless
Threadless is one of my favorites as the visitor himself can participate. Send in your design, watch the other visitors vote and maybe it’ll get printed! The results are amazing, as lot of creative people can be found out there in the wild!
Threadless Selection
innerTee
innerTee is a relatively new service (haven’t tried it myself yet) and takes off where Threadless stops: it gives the opportunity to the non-designers (or non cartoonists) to create shirts. The members of the site place a truckload of artwork online (little images) and other users can mix all those drawings together to come up with a shirt. Then a Digg-alike system kicks in and from there on. Not all shirts are as good though, but given the power that you can create your own (even if you can’t draw) … 😉

Insanely Great Tees
Insanely Great Tees has been around since November 2006 (if their news section in fact started when the site started) and lets the visitor decide through their news section which shirt they’ll print. Too bad not all of the suggested design get printed, because some of them (pictured below) really rock! Must warn that most of the designs (not to say all) are geek stuff though! And yes, they appear to be Mac addicts
Insanely Great Tees
Go Ape Shirts
Go Ape Shirts is a small store with limited designs, yet they one by one rock! Very nice ones!
Go Ape Shirts
Oddica
Oddica is another shirt shop that lets designers send in their designs, only the designers now even get to share the profits! The results in the shop are utterly amazing I must say!
Oddica
Lafraise
La fraise (translated: The strawberry) is a France based shop offering some insanely great shirts too! Just check out the site, you’ll see the design rock more than ever! La fraise also offers one to vote on slogans and to vote on designs (and send in your own). Too bad that’s French only as they’re losing lots and lots of (non French speaking) users imo.
La fraise
Accentuate Clothing
Accentuate Clothing “only” holds 6 (men’s) designs atm, but they all are extremely nicely done! Well worth checking out!

Other shirts
Some other picks:
(via Daring Fireball)
(via Airbag Industries)
Bauer Power, MacGyver & Dressy Casual Hoodie
too bad that’s girls only 🙁
Designs that should make it to the printer
Any more shirts?
I think I’ve mentioned quite a few sites and designs and most likely haven’t mentioned them all. If you guys have any suggestions, feel free to comment. And oh, be sure to watch this list to get news of new upcoming stores 😉
And to all DIYers out there: click 😛
B!
here’s my favourite shirt-shop (although i only bought one so far, they’re quite expensive..): http://www.imaginaryfoundation.com/
and waiting for that 3RDS-shirt to get printed 🙂
I’m addicted to cool tees as well! Too bad most of them are printed on American Apparel which I think is too thin and skinny.
Will 2nd Bart: American Apparel is pretty thin. OK in summer, but why wear nipple-see-thru in winter? — But at least you know that AA’s have a good shape (i don’t find them too skinny) and its “sweatshop free” stuff (AA’s homepage is a must visit/read).
My last online-shirt was “unicorn power” by PBF Comics 🙂
And of cause, i have a over 20 year old addiction to STÃœSSY.
have a look here bram: http://www.krudmart.com (paypal ok)
@ wio and manu: wicked links! Tnx!
@ wio : 3RDS shirt aye? You’ll get the first (and signed :D) exemplar if any shirts would ever be created 😛
Thanks for the love, Bramus!
@ Josh : np, anytime. Ordered a batch of 3 shirts yesterday by the way 😉
Just when I was trying not to get addicted to Threadless, you give me an overview of even more (wicked!) tee-sites.
Thanks a lot! 😉
btw: I’ve read that an American S-size is like a belgian M-size, but I found out they are quite the same… (American Apparel). Anyone having more experience on this one?
@ Bram: I have ordered a Large one and must say that the only big difference between the European sizes and AA-sizes is that a Large one is rather lengthy. Minor difference is that it’s a bit wider than our sizes, but it’s not that huge imo.

Okay so, I really need to know if you’re really making that “It’s not lupus” shirt…because I have to have it. I just did a google search for this design because I love it, and this is the only site that came up…you’re my only hope at me getting that shirt!! Make it happen. Thanks!!
