[...] The abbreviations are not even done consistently. Illustrator is “Ai” presumably for Adobe Illustrator. Why is “Illustrator” lowercase? So then you’d think Photoshop would be “Ap.” But no, it’s “Ps”. Why? OK, I’d assume then that InDesign would be “Id”. Wrong again. It’s small-caps “ID”. Why small-caps when Illustrator is not small-caps? So we users have to learn a whole new code here, and one with arbitrary rules. Again, making users learn something new, useless, and meaningless. [...]
